A large cryptocurrency farm in Ukraine that contained thousands of PlayStation 4 consoles was discovered to be a FIFA bot farm, according to the authorities.

The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) announced in a statement last week that the operation had been successful in shutting down a bitcoin mining farm that contained an incredible 3800 game consoles. Racks of PlayStation 4 Slims were discovered (although some speculated that the images depicted PlayStation 4 Pros), which, in my opinion, is not the best equipment for running a bitcoin farm.

According to further investigation, the PS4s were being used to grind players for the FIFA Ultimate Team competition.

As a result of concerns about the farm's official declaration that its primary purpose was bitcoin mining and the fact that game discs can be seen protruding from PlayStation 4 consoles in one of the images, the Ukrainian business journal Delo decided to conduct an investigation. A bot farm, according to the findings of the investigation, became entangled in the Ultimate Team grind in order to sell accounts loaded with in-game gold, as depicted in the images.

Delo noted in his statement that the Ukrainian Security Service has so far declined to comment on the revelation, citing the need to maintain the investigation's confidentiality as justification. Despite the fact that this has not been proven, it has been speculated that these PS4 Slims were being used to farm Ultimate Team for monetary gain.

Because of the way Ultimate Team is constructed, it is the best game to use for this type of activity. Additional real-world money can be invested in loot boxes with the goal of acquiring high-value cards; however, the likelihood of receiving one of the top players is extremely remote. Instead, you could spend months playing the game in order to accumulate sufficient in-game currency to use when it comes time to invest at the auction house. Additionally, you can purchase FUT 22 coins on the black market (40,000 FUT coins will cost you a couple of quid, so plan on spending a couple of hundred dollars). To put this in context, Lionel Messi's Summer Stars card, which has a rating of 99, is currently selling for approximately 1.5 million FIFA Ultimate Team coins on the PlayStation auction website.

Since a long time, the dispute between EA Sports and third-party FUT cash merchants has been widely reported on the Internet. For those who don't know, as I previously stated in 2017, there are a variety of places where you can buy FUT packs and coins, as well as sell your coins and accounts. A large black market for FIFA Ultimate Team merchandise persists despite EA's efforts to combat it over the course of several years.

The purchase and sale of buy FIFA 22 coins are prohibited by EA, and doing so will result in a permanent ban.

Over 500 video cards and 50 CPUs were discovered in the warehouse, as well as draft documentation on electricity usage accounting, as well as notebooks, phones and flash drives, according to a report from the SBU. It's possible that cryptocurrency mining was going on behind the scenes. It has been established, however, that the warehouse's primary function was to grind Ultimate Team members to death.
