Pfeiffer also cites the popularity of Melvor Idle to show that the talent that is available can be found in the community of any game, something Jagex has already realized. "We've always found this RuneScape game community a great opportunity for talent at Jagex, not just in terms of game developers , but all of the different roles in a studio for games," Pfeiffer states. "RuneScape has had more than 300 million accounts created in more than 20 years, which means the talent pool that have played the game is enormous."

Following the successful partnership in the past with Games By Malcs, Pfeiffer says he's looking forward to working more indie development with developers from around the world , especially if they're developing initiatives that "align with the design philosophy of RuneScape and Jagex's core values", and he's hoping Melvor Idle's successes will spur more independent developers to reach out to Jagex Studios.

With version 1.0 of Melvor Idle being released, Games By Malcs and Jagex are working on new content, including other potential titles that are set in the Melvor universe. Malcolm remains grateful to Jagex for its continuous help, particularly when involves introducing new players.

"They have also been great at ensuring that Melvor reaches more people than I would have ever been able to reach on my own, both users in the RuneScape community and over the horizon," his statement. "With the launch of the full version in the near future, I'm excited working with Jagex in both making Melvor Idle a larger hit, and on the next projects."
